Movie director Dayaram Dahal appointed chairperson

The government has appointed movie director Dayaram Dahal as the chairperson of the Nepal Film Development Board. acandidates. He was appointed among three candidate actor Bhuwan KC, director Daya Ram Dahal and Rajesh Thapa. The chairperson of the Board the government is responsible for development of the film industry.

Dahal was working as a member of the board before assuming the office as a chairperson. The position was vacant after the death of incumbent chairperson Keshav Bhattarai.

After the death of the former chairperson of the board the government sough applications for the position. It is understood that around a dozen people were interested and submitted the applications for the post among whom three were shortlisted including Dahal.
