Pal-Moments of Life is a very simple movie with no tits and bits of nonsense or stupid actions. This is a movie with a motive. It holds a social message that how a person’s life turns out depends highly on what kind of decisions the person makes in life. In short, one paves his own path.
The movie has shown two sides of a coin. The first and second half of the movie deals with same story, with same circumstances but the choices the characters make and the result makes them different. The movie is a good attempt which has found positive response from the audience as well as the critics. It is a multi-starrer movie where none of the characters have gone invain. They all have done justice to their role.
Deepak (Raj Ballav Koirala) is in love with a rich man’s daughter Sushma (Nisha Adhikari) and wants to marry her. His father (Ramesh Budhathoki) is a CA member, but the family is going through financial crisis. Deepak’s mother (Tripti Nadakar) keeps nagging her husband about money so that they could throw a lavish party for the wedding. So, Deepak’s father takes bribe from a local businessman to sell a property that belongs to a guthi of a local Newar community. But he pays for his actions, later he gets arrested for taking the bribe.
In the second half, the situation is the same, but the director has shown that the characters have made a different decision, moreover the right decision, which leads then to a different and better result. This time, they dont fall prey to greed and Deepak’s father refuses the bribe and also his family decides to throw a party that they can afford. Everything here ends well. All the actors have done a commendable job. Koirala has showcased the quiet character of Deepak very well and thus stands out in the movie. Adhikari is good too. Similarly, Nadakar has done an impressive job in both halves, or lets say in both skins of the character, be it the selfish and witty mother in the first half or the devoted wife in the second half.
This movie is a brave attempt, for the fact that such technique of telling the story and even a movie as such hasnt come across Nepali cinema. The director is worth a round of applause. He has done justice to the script.

but i hav a lil complain with nepali telivisions that is it would be better to display nepali films in place of hindi every saturday in ntv n ohter channels…new n old movies….
