Are New Nepali actors/actress as good as old ones?

Lately, new faces have appeared in the Nepali silver screen. It is no longer the era of BhuwanK.C., Shiva Shrestha, who once were the dominant faces of Nepali films. Directors, now prefer new and young faces for their movies; especially if they are youth based themes and plot lines. Since the past few years young actors who are talented and attractive have entered the scene. Some new names in Nepali movies are Raj Ballav Koirala, Aryan Sigdel, Jivan Luitel, Karma Shakya, Saugat Malla and others.
Among these actors raj ballav koirala has established himself as a promising actor. He started his movie career with the debut movie Parkhi Basen(2008). Not just an actor, he also has worked as a radio host model and a music video actor. One of his popular music video is Karna Das’s Bhetiyera chutnu bhanda. He also won the super acting competition, aired on Nepal television. His debut film was a super hit and he won KTV Film Awards Best Debut Actor (Male), organized by the Nepal Film Technician Association. Except for this he has worked in Deewanapan (2008), Samjhana (2008), Guru Dakshina, Chadi Gaye Paap Lagla(2008).
Similarly, Aaryan sigdel, the charming new actor has also shown his ability to act and gain popularity, among audience. Because of his personality and looks, he has been named “chocolate hero” by film critics and movie viewers. His debut movie is Rekha Thapa’s Kismat. There after, the actor did not have to look back with movies, like Mausam, Mero Euta Saathi Cha, The Flashback and Kohi Mero and First Love. Before starring in movies, he worked in Kantipur television’s Houseful and Gharbeti Ba. He has also worked with veteran comedy actors, Haribansha and Madan Krishna. It is sure with this growing popularity and new projects; he is going to take the film industry by storm.

Another actor Mr. Nepal 2002 Jivan Luitel started his film career with Sano Sansar, as a supporting actor. Tall and handsome, Jivan has worked in movies like Tirkha, Ghatak,Mero Euta Sathi Cha,,Naseeb Aafno,Deep Shikha, Kasam Hajurko and Malai Mann Paryo. His latest hit movie happens to be Nai Nabhannu La. Not just an actor, he also is a model, who has acted in some music videos and commercial advertisements.
Karma Shakya a.k.a Mahesh Shakya and Saugat Malla are also the budding actors. Both of them are the theater actors who are trying their luck on the big screen. Karma has worked in Sano Sansar and First Love, while Saugat has worked in Kagbeni and Das Dhunga. Both the actors have gained popularity and have also gained critical acclaim.
With these new Nepali actors, the future of Nepali films looks bright and it is an encouragement for new talents, to try their hand in Nepali movies.
