Directed by Rishi Lamichane , this movie projects one aspect of why Nepali women are killing them self at an alarming rate. Although the reason for suicide on the movie doesn’t justify the cause but shows the mentality of suicidal Nepali women.Rather than fighting for the justice the actress laxmi(sarita lamichane) decides to kill herself for her greedy and money hungry husband. The star cast include Shree Krishna Shrestha, Sarita Lamichane and sweta khadka.
The story takes shape when Rajesh(Shree Krishna Shrestha) starts dreaming of becoming rich marrying a rich girl in town. He meets priya(sweta khadka) and plans to marry her to become rich. But thing take a turn when his partner Rahul thinks other way and calls on laxmi(wife of Rajesh). But laxmi instead of fighting for her right she decides to take poison.
The movie is average. The performance of the actors are very good. The dialogues and comedy is poor. The cinematography is average. The choreography sees some improvement over average Nepali trend. Soundtracks are ok.
AT the time whens Suicide is the leading cause of death among women in Nepal, the film shreeman shreemati is a decent attempt to project the problems faced by Nepali community.
